Georgia Tech will host the TechArts Festival, a two-day annual event showcasing the creative spirit through student and faculty projects, on April 12-13, 2013. Music, dance, theatre, digital, literary and visual arts flourish at the technological research university, inspiring and reflecting research and education. The 2013 Festival includes works that showcase the convergence of art and technology, and also works that are solely artistic in nature.  The Festival will be free and held at both indoor and outdoor venues on the Georgia Tech campus.

Music, dance, theatre, digital, literary and visual arts flourish at the technological research university, inspiring and reflecting research and education.  The 2013 Festival includes works that showcase the convergence of art and technology, and also works that are solely artistic in nature.  The Festival will be free and held at both indoor and outdoor venues on the Georgia Tech campus.

To help kick-off the weekend celebration, the Office of the Arts and the Council for the Arts cordially invite all staff in the Division to theTechArts Festival Opening Reception on Friday, April 12, at 5:30 p.m. in the Ferst Center for the Arts Westbrook Gallery. Light refreshments will be served.

The TechArts Festival is coordinated by the Office of the Arts at Georgia Tech, a department in the Division of Student Affairs, in conjunction with the Georgia Tech Council of the Arts.  Exploring the arts through events and activities, academic instruction, research, community partnerships and outreach demonstrates Georgia Tech’s commitment to the arts as an important part of its strategic plan.
