The School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology, collaborating with the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and the College of Engineering, has invited a distinguished alumnus from Peru, Raúl Delgado Sayán, to visit Tech in order to speak on Mass Transit, which he has supervised and is spearheading, in Lima.

As a member of the distinguished alumni council of Peru, he is also spearheading an initiative to involve GT in projects in his country, which is experiencing strong economic growth and investing much of it in building infrastructure and long-range educational opportunities that will serve a knowledge-based economy.

Following presentations, we plan for the event to include a panel discussion where questions regarding mass transportation development in Lima and other cities can be fielded. This is also a topic that we believe is of interest to many individuals within the International Affairs, Public Policy, and Political Science fields.

We look forward to you joining us.
