The School of Modern Languages (ML) has established itself as a nationwide leader in innovative language education and high-profile research in the fields of comparative literature, literary criticism, cultural studies, linguistics and pedagogy, that reflects varied interests--from poetry and film to visual arts, computer games and natural language processing--and addresses issues of contemporary political and cultural realities, such as youth culture, migration, urban culture, marginalization and sustainable development.

In keeping with the Institute's goal of building a strong scholarly community of interdisciplinary collaboration, the aim of the ML faculty seminar is to share ML faculty research with colleagues and students from other Schools and Colleges at GT as a forum for unfolding broad intellectual projects and fostering cross-disciplinary dialog.
