Now accepting Applications for Sam Nunn Fellows for the 2013/14 Academic Year.  The deadline has been extended to Wednesday, 15 May 2013 @ 3pm.

Supported by funding from the MacArthur Foundation, SAIC, and the Callahan Memorial Endowment, the Sam Nunn Fellowship program prepares scientists, engineers, and other technically trained individuals to be able to render policy advice on issues at the nexus of science, technology, and international affairs.

The Program accepts pre-doctoral, postdoctoral, and faculty / mid-career scientists, computer scientists, engineers, and social scientists with technological research interests. Applicants should be enrolled in, or have completed, a doctoral degree program, and should have policy related interests.

The Program’s origins are in national and international security policy.  However, security relevant policy has always been, and continues to be, broadly defined by the program to include such issues as:
o Resource Scarcity
o Climate Change
o Energy Security
o Infrastructure Protection
o Disaster Management
o Mass Casualty Weapons
o Technological Innovation
o Economic Development
o Conflict in Cyberspace

Interested parties should submit the following documents by 3:00pm May 15, 2013:
o A signed one-page application (available on the SNSP website)
o A cover letter with relevant information on your background and research interests
o Transcripts from colleges / universities attended
o A current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
o Three academic and / or professional letters of recommendation
