The Design and Technologies for Healthy Aging (DATHA) Initiative founder at the Georgia Institute of Technology is seeking submissions for an upcoming book publication highlighting technological innovations in design for the aging population. We invite students, professionals and researchers to submit projects that promote healthy aging.

The objective of the book is to identify and present a variety of contemporary technologies that make use of digital interactive features to support older adults' ability to perform routine activities in their own homes. The book will be approximately 200 pages illustrated with each of the technologies designed for older adults. The book will document the efforts of laboratories and businesses towards designing a variety of technologies to facilitate daily activities, including assistive, social, communication, and leisure technologies for the home environment. Published products will be those that feature a technology such as a processor and have been designed in the last 5 years.

Focus areas will include but are not limited to the areas of industrial design, human computer interaction, computer supported collaborative work, tangible computing, mobile computing, embedded computing, ubiquitous computing, and robotics through the design of handheld device design, app design, wearable design, assistive technology design, home technologies, health solutions, to mention a few.

Each submission should include descriptions, high quality photos, designer bios and links to personal or company websites. Please visit the following links for submissions:
