The National Center for Women & Information Technology and the College of Computing at Georgia Tech are hosting the 2012-2013 NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing Georgia Affiliate Celebration. We are thrilled to be hosting this award for the third year, and to have the opportunity to recognize and honor so many outstanding young women for their aspirations and accomplishments in computing.
The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Awardees are selected for their computing and IT aptitude, leadership ability, academic history, and plans for post-secondary education. The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing offers both a national and local "affiliate" competitions to generate support and visibility for women's participation in communities nationwide.
We would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement in helping these students recognize the important role they play in the future of computing and other science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, as well as the future of our society.
