There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Since 1947, more than 32,000 U.S. citizens and 34,000 citizens of other nations received grants from the Fulbright Scholar Program for faculty and professionals. Faculty may apply for this prestigious scholarship to conduct research and/or to lecture in almost any country in a wide variety of academic and professional fields. The Fulbright Scholar Program is administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) and sponsored by the Bureau of Cultural and Educational Affairs.
The competition for 2014-2015 is NOW OPEN. The deadline to apply is August 1, 2013.
Apart from the above U.S. Scholar Program, which is widely known and provides approximately 750 grants annually, there are also Special Programs for U.S. Scholars and the Visiting Scholar Program.
