The second annual Clough Art Crawl is set to kick off tonight in the G. Wayne Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons. This year’s event features more than 360 works by 146 Georgia Tech student artists from a diverse cross section of majors.
This free event, which takes place from 4 to 8 p.m., showcases the artistic side of Georgia Tech students by displaying their creations for the campus and Atlanta community to experience. All works will remain on display in the Clough Commons until March 15.
Attendees can expect a wide variety of media and styles of art including live musical performances, open mic/spoken word, poetry/prose, photography, digital media/film, sculpture/craft arts and drawing/painting.
All poetry and spoken word readings will take place in the Gallery Space on the third floor and musical performances will occur in the Communication Center on the fourth floor.
A group of 12 artistic professionals from the Atlanta community will select the best work in each category to receive a $125 cash prize. Additionally, guests will have a chance to vote for their favorite overall piece to win the People’s Choice Award.
