There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Join this Writing and Communication Program-sponsored presentation by Sandy Lerner (a co-founder of Cisco Systems, the founder of Urban Decay Cosmetics, and a Jane Austen scholar) entitled “Writing Jane: Research for the Modern Historical Novel." Lerner’s presentation will include a Q+A session and be followed by a book signing.
Lerner’s interests are vast and reflective of the kind of humanistic and technological intersections we witness regularly here at Tech. She will focus her presentation on the ways in which her background in computer science and her Cisco experience have been critical to her work as an Austen scholar, author and preservationist.
