Professor Moon, presents "Our Forgotten History:  The History of Asians and Asian Americans in the American Entertainment Industry, 1880s-1920s"

Abstract: Despite the prominence of Yellowface in most portrayals of persons of Asian descent in the American entertainment industry, Asians and Asian Americans can be found performing in a variety of venues during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This talk is part of the process to excavate that past and connect it with the present state.
