There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Science and technology are rapidly emerging as driving forces in society with impacts penetrating decisions of economic development, education, environment and more.
Policymakers need to be able to understand the implications of technical topics such as a broadband access, cyber-security, nanotechnology and radar technology. The complex character of these topics makes explaining them to non-scientists very challenging.
This seminar will expose and equip academic and industry researchers to the tools and vocabulary to translate and explain emerging science and technology (S&T) issues to state and federal level policymakers.
The target audience for this seminar is Georgia Tech and GTRI researchers; IRC directors and Policy@Tech Partners.
