While Doctor Wood was teaching students about Italian film during Summer 2011, he was also exploring Croatia and Slovenia with various family members and friends. "Viola" and "Ambiguities of Ljubljana," which appeared in the 2012 issue of the Rose and Thorn Journal (http://www.roseandthornjournal.com/) are two poems that resulted from his travels.
