Phil Auslander recently participated in a symposium at Stanford University called "Art in a Digital Age" (Nov. 2),  the inaugural event for the Stanford Arts Institute (which has existed for a while, but under a different name).

Auslander's presentation, "Giving the Digital Its Due," focused on the work of three performers who use digital technology in their work and raised questions about how their use of technology impacts on what they have to do as performers (their technique) and the inadequacy of the critical discourses surrounding digitally enhanced performance.
