There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Each year, during the holidays, the Women’s Resource Center adopts a family headed by a grandparent raising her grandchildren. There are many reasons grandparents become caregivers and second-time parents. The issues cross socioeconomic and racial lines, but many of the grandparents are on a fixed income and the holidays are difficult for them to manage. This year we are adopting two small families, each headed by a grandmother who is raising a grandson. Details about each family’s wish list are available now.
