While the NFL Commissioner met with Governor Deal and Mayor Reed to discuss plans for a new stadium, Georgia Tech’s Student Planning Association organized a four-person panel that brought the discussion to a larger audience. Tech student Margaret Carragher (MCRP/MS-CE ’13) commented that the event offered new ideas for direct community involvement that she had not considered such as combining the new facility with a health care center or child care services for local area residents.
