Julie Phillips Brown is currently the N.E.H. Post-Doctoral Fellow in Poetics at The Bill and Carol Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry at Emory University. Her work as a painter, poet, and graphic designer informs her research, which focuses on multi-dimensional and multi-media poetry, visual art, and digital technology.
 
In this presentation, Dr. Brown will discuss the ever-evolving relationship between material culture and digital technology, focusing on Between Page and Screen, an augmented-reality book of poems by Amaranth Borsuk and Brad Bouse, as a remarkable case study in poetry’s digital futures.
