The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) and Ripple Effect are teaming up to host their first World AIDS Day 5K Run!
Everyone is invited to attend (individuals, families, and groups of all ages) to run against the stigma and reality of HIV/AIDS. All funds raised will sponsor orphans who live in HIV-affected communities of the Dominican Republic (through World Vision's HopeChild Program) and Georgia's AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs), which are state administered programs that provide HIV/AIDS medications to low-income individuals living with HIV. The morning will include a free breakfast, free T-shirt, prizes, a speaker, a baby-sitting corner with fun activities for kids, and prizes!
You can register at rippleffect.org/5k using the “Step 1” button and pay using the “Step 2” button. The early bird special will end on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11:59 p.m. Regular registration will cost $5 more for both Georgia Tech and non-Georgia Tech students after that.
