igem 2012 Fragments of GFP

igem 2012 Fragments of GFP

Fragments of GFP (depicted as ribbon models above) are fused to target proteins. When the target proteins dimerize in response to signal, the GFP fragments interact and fluoresce like an intact GFP peptide (Biochem Soc Trans. 2008 36:479-82).
