Associate Dean of Students, Cara Appel-Silbaugh, Ph.D., most recently presented at the 2012 Emory Assessment Conference on "Conducting Qualitative Assessment in Student Affairs: Practical Advice that Works." Dean Appel-Silbaugh led the discussion on the process of effectively completing a qualitative assessment project involving many departments in student affairs - how to encourage successful collaboration and generate results.
In addition to her presentation on assessment, Dean Appel-Silbaugh will also present at the SACSA conference this November on "Women in Student Affairs: Perspectives from the Field." In her leadership position in the NASPA Region III Program, Dean Appel-Silbaugh will facilitate a panel of fellow female student affairs professionals for a candid discussion about their journey in student affairs, the challenges, pitfalls, and the highlights/successes along the way.
