There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Georgia Teaching Fellows is part of The New Teacher Project (TNTP) and works to meet the needs of schools in Metro Atlanta, the Augusta area, and in Southwest Georgia.

Metro Atlanta (Fulton County and Atlanta Public Schools)

 Augusta area (Burke and Richmond counties)

Southwest Georgia (Dougherty, Meriwether, and Muscogee counties).

Placement location for corps members depends upon the current needs of the school districts.  Individuals teach in a specific subject area.  Teaching Fellows must complete the state-approved TNTP Academy requirements to obtain teacher certification.
