Full Summary:

Georgia Tech students have many options when making nutritious eating choices and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

College students are often excited about the newfound freedoms associated with being away from home for the first time. Choosing what to eat is one of those freedoms that can lead to abandoning healthy habits established at home.

Pressed for time and short on money, students resort to convenience foods that fall short of the recommended 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables each day, which can impact both health and academic success.

Research has shown that students learn better when well-nourished. Healthy eating has been linked to higher grades, better memory and concentration, increased alertness, faster information processing and better attendance.

Obtaining proper nutrients through a variety of healthy food choices also helps build strong bones, improves immunity, and positively impacts body image.

We encourage students to explore the variety of services and resources listed below and establish healthy habits today.
