No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Dr. Knight's recent research investigated the water quality and habitat of the endangered shortnose sturgeon (acipensar brevirostrum) in the Savannah River using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
Dr. Knight’s prior research has included the mediation of impacts from hazardous materials, cultural resource value, archaeology and the identification of environmental impact mitigation alternatives under NEPA. Her projects have involved Native American tribal governments throughout the Southwest as well as interests in Canada and the Bahamas. Her studies abroad have taken her to Brazil, China, Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Dr. Knight has over twenty years experience as an environmental consultant and project manager. Her clients have ranged from Fortune 50 energy companies and engineering firms to NGO’s, local and state governments, and federal agencies. Dr. Knight has focused upon improving the communication and available scientific tools for environmental project stakeholders seeking to infuse science directly into environmental policy.
