There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Whether you are a manager or an employee, performance evaluations and goal setting are important to everyone at Georgia Tech.
Managers have been asked to have conversations with their employees about evaluations prior to Sept. 30.
Once the evaluations have been shared, managers and employees will work together to establish performance goals for 2012/2013. Goals should be discussed and documented by Oct. 31.
“Planning together positions everyone to succeed,” said Pearl Alexander, senior director of people strategy in the Office of Human Resources. “Clarity of goals and performance expectations yields a highly productive, fulfilling work relationship between supervisors and team members. Employees are empowered when there is clarity about what is to be accomplished and the desired behaviors to be exhibited along the way.”
