There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

"Stability Radius as a Method to Identify Neural Feedback Parameters to Stabilize Biomechanics"
My goal is to determine common neural feedback mechanisms that robustly control motor behavior across a variety of biomechanical contexts. I introduce the basic technique of using stability radius to compare the stability of neuromechanical systems with an example from postural control of frontal plane balance across a variety of biomechanical contexts.

"Robots for Humanity: Developing Assistive Mobile Manipulation"
Assistive mobile manipulators may allow persons with severe motor impairments to independently perform self-care tasks. Enabling this is the goal of the Robots for Humanity Project. By working closely with Henry Evans, quadriplegic as the result of a brainstem stroke, we have enabled Henry to use a general-purpose mobile manipulator to shave his face with an electric razor in his own home, addressing numerous challenges along the way.
