There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

While we may not live in the robot-mediated world envisioned by previous generations, robots have replaced humans in many situations where size is a limiting factor and where extremely repetitive or dangerous tasks must be performed.
Join us and find out what researchers at Georgia Tech are learning about moral reasoning and emotions in robots and how this relates to the ethical behavior of robots in war; collaborative exploration, mapping, and sensing by micro autonomous systems in terrestrial and aerial environments and how this can help first responders; and robot agility on complex terrestrial substrates and how this can lead to more effective search and rescue missions.
Humanizing Machines: Robotics at Georgia Tech is the seventh panel in the Blended Research Series organized by the Faculty Engagement Department of the Georgia Tech Library.
Blended Research @ the Library is a panel discussion series focusing on multidisciplinary research. At each session faculty and graduate students from various departments present research in an area that crosses over several disciplines.
