In addition to a world class degree, one of the greatest assets for your Georgia Tech student is being supported by an extremely successful alumni base of over 130,000 individuals who are loyal to the Institute and its students. The best way for students to connect with and leverage this powerful alumni network is by joining the Student Alumni Association (SAA).

Re-launched in 2010, SAA is Tech’s largest student organization with almost 3,000 members. It is led by 21 student leaders and supported by the Alumni Association staff. The goals of the Student Alumni Association are to educate students about the value of giving back to Tech, teach them Tech history and traditions while encouraging them to have pride in the Institute, and most importantly connect them to our successful and inspiring alumni.

This semester alone, members of SAA can meet alumni (and faculty/staff) at one of 25 Dinner Jackets programs. This is a great chance for students to get to know alumni in a more casual setting and get a home-cooked meal. SAA also hosts a Get Ready for the Real World series where alumni and featured speakers will teach students “real world” lessons they aren’t getting in the classroom. The marquee opportunity for members of SAA is Mentor Jackets, a 1:1 mentoring program where students get guidance and advice from a Tech alum who is their career field of interest.

Let your students know about this amazing opportunity and encourage them join. To learn more, visit www.gtsaa.com.
