MID student Sanchit Mittal's (MID '14) popular and free iPhone app, "iBooth" simulates a vintage photo booth, while also providing numerous editing and effects options. The app has risen as high as number three on the list of popular, free iPhone apps.
Mr. Mittal's undergraduate studies were in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, India. In the course of his sophomore year, he took a class in Multimedia Design that redirected his interests towards graphic design.He started working with iAppStreet Software Limited in 2010, and got involved in the development of iBooth, which went on sale during the summer of 2011.
iBooth was launched as a paid application at the iPhone App Store but was later offered for free. That change gave the app a huge boost, and soon it was the top downloaded app in every category. According to Sanchit, "I envisage my experience at iAppStreet Software Limited as one that has prepared me for the exciting domain of Graphic Design. It was experience I see as unparalleled.
