The "Linux Installfest" is a worldwide project to turn old, beaten-up computers into efficient, well-running computers. By installing Linux you can provide a whole new life for your computer.

Linux is a Free operating system and an alternative to software like MS Windows. In addition to Linux, there are many free applications for audio & video, graphics, games, communications, business, programming and more.

High school students will learn how to install, configure and use Linux and other free software (e.g. games, graphics and audio/video).

The event is free to attend, with free T-shirts, breakfast, lunch and door prizes.

You’ll need to bring your own working computer with a monitor, keyboard, mouse and all cables. Laptop and netbook computers are perfect.
