There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

As the new semester gets under way and students and faculty return for the first day of classes, be prepared for more on-campus traffic and parking challenges than usual.
Activities related to the 20th Century Fox movie production are in the process of winding down. In addition to filming taking place in designated areas through Wednesday, those returning to campus will notice numerous trailers and tents that are being used to accommodate equipment and the many extras appearing in the film.
Georgia Tech’s Office of Capital Planning and Space Management and other units have worked closely with 20th Century Fox to ensure minimal disruption. There may be times when access to buildings and other areas is rerouted or restricted, but students, faculty and staff will continue to have access to their offices, classrooms and labs.
Although the movie production should start wrapping up by this week, members of the campus community are asked to anticipate delays when making plans throughout the week. In the meantime, everyone’s patience is greatly appreciated.
To remedy parking issues related to the filming, accommodations for those in the W21, W23 and W24 lots have been extended through Wednesday, Aug. 22.
Customers who normally park in these lots may park in any other open parking space in their assigned area or in the following alternate areas (please make sure your permit is displayed properly):
Also, more than 50 parking spaces in the Area 2 visitors parking lot have been allotted for movie activities through Wednesday, Aug. 22. Visitors may park in Area 3 (across from Stamps Health Services) or Area 9 (Student Center Commons) during this time.
