Georgia Tech has joined with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and to host three sessions on cyber awareness and digital critical infrastructure protection, cyber careers, and security-focused academic programs on Wednesday, August 22, 2012.  Students, faculty, and members of the general public are invited.

Cyber Awareness and Critical Infrastructure Session: Discusses relevant issues in cyberspace, including identity theft, phishing, fraud, and cyber ethics and will bring together experts from government, academia, and the private sector to discuss topics about protecting the nation’s digital posture in a range of sectors.

Speakers to include:

  • Kristina Dorville, director of cyber awareness programs in the DHS National Cyber Security Division;
  • Keri Nusbaum, director of recruitment and development at DHS National Cyber Security Division;
  • Rear Admiral Michael Brown (Ret.), vice president of federal business at RSA, and former director of cybersecurity coordination at DHS National Protection and Programs Directorate; and
  • Special Agent Michael Sweazey, United States Secret Service.
