Sonic Generator Performs Steve Reich's "Drumming"

Sonic Generator, the contemporary music ensemble in residence at Georgia Tech, presents Steve Reich's iconic work Drumming at the Goat Farm. Written for nine percussionists, female voices and piccolo, Drumming is a monument of rhythmic complexity and an hypnotically beautiful masterpiece from one of the giants of contemporary music.
Steve Reich was recently called "our greatest living composer" (The New York Times), "America’s greatest living composer." (The Village VOICE), “...the most original musical thinker of our time” (The New Yorker) and “...among the great composers of the century” (The New York Times)
Sonic Generator is the contemporary music ensemble-in-residence at Georgia Tech dedicated to using technology to transform the ways in which we compose, perform, and listen to music.
