There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Brian Stone Jr., has found that Louisville’s urban heat island, the difference between city temperatures and surrounding rural areas, may be growing at one of the fastest rates in the country. “Dr. Stone’s message was that Louisville, more than most other cities in the country, needs to start now to address the serious threat of urban heat islands by increasing our inadequate tree canopy,” Schneider told the commission.
