Intel Funds New Research Center

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Intel Corp. funded "a new $12.5-million research center" where "UC Irvine is the research hub, with four other campuses participating, which include Cornell University, Indiana University, the Georgia Institute of Technology [Ivan Allen College School of Literature, Communication, and Culture] and New York University...Intel researchers will work with dozens of faculty members, graduate and doctoral students in the campus labs.
