No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

If your student is considering applying for a scholarship, the Georgia Tech Fellowships Office has new campus deadlines in 2012 that begin this summer. Georgia Tech offers many opportunities for your student to apply for and win nationally competitive scholarships. With these deadlines quickly approaching, please encourage your student to begin the application process today.

Students applying for Fulbright, Marshall, Rhodes, Gates, Mitchell, and Churchill Scholarships:

  • Pre-application deadline is August 1, 2012. Students should contact their Fellowship Advisor (more info below) and work on their application. Students should also notify their advisor of their recommenders.
  • Campus application deadline is August 29, 2012.  Students’ application and letters of recommendation should be completed.

Sophomores and juniors applying for Goldwater and Udall Scholarships as well as juniors applying for $30,000 Truman Scholarships should contact an advisor no later than November 1, 2012.

Interested students are encouraged to contact a fellowships advisor during the summer to determine appropriate applications and begin developing their essays. We have found that it is often difficult for students to complete the applications in a timely manner when they return for the fall semester. Students not on campus during the summer can correspond via email and submit their essays for review. Click here for advisor contact information.

The reward is well worth the effort! Tech students are quite successful in winning these prestigious awards. Click here for informative tips and highlights from former recipients.
