Following the announcement that Vice Provost for International Initiatives Steven McLaughlin has accepted the position as chair of Tech’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Provost Rafael L. Bras has issued a call for applications and nominations to lead the Institute’s global partnerships.
A member of the provost’s leadership team, the vice provost for International Initiatives and Steven A. Denning Chair in Global Engagement is responsible for Georgia Tech’s global strategy, international educational activities and engagement in research, education and economic development.
Offices and programs currently assigned to the vice provost include the Office of International Education, GT Lorraine, GT Global, and planned and emerging global platforms. Once named, the vice provost will review and refine this unit in accordance with the priorities outlined by the organizational study during the next phase of the provost’s organization transformation.
While applications and nominations will be received until the vice provost is selected, interested parties are encouraged to submit their materials no later than June 15, 2012 to assure optimal consideration.
