There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Dear Colleague,

I'd like to invite you to a workshop on stem cell engineering at 9AM on May 24 at the National Science Foundation, 4201 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA.  The workshop will present the results of a study of the field in Asia and Europe, including visits to 40 top labs abroad.  The study was sponsored by NSF, NCI, and NIST, and was chaired by Robert Nerem of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Also on the panel were Jeanne Loring of Scripps Research Institute, Todd McDevitt of GeorgiaTech, Sean Palecek of the University of Wisconsin, David Schaffer of UC Berkeley, and Peter Zandstra of the University of Toronto.

The workshop is free, but space is limited, so registration is required. The meeting will also be webcast.

This is one of a series of over 70 international studies of R&D conducted by WTEC.  Please let me know if you need additional information.  I hope to see you at the workshop.

Sincerely,
R. D. Shelton
