There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

A talk for all CoC PhD students and faculty by George Cox, Client Platform Security Architect at Intel and Adjunct Professor in the School of Computer Science.
In a talk last October designed for first-year PhD students in all areas of computing -- "Getting to Do What You Want: a Career Plan" -- George shared insights from his 45-year career in computing, including 30-plus years at Intel.
This talk -- "My PhD: What Topic and How to Pick It" -- continues down that path. All CoC PhD students and faculty are invited to come and wind up the week with snacks, socializing, and what is sure to be an insightful talk.
George Cox has MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Purdue University and a bachelor's in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.
