Mock Proposals for the University of West Georgia Nursing School

Six teams of seniors in the School of Building Construction will pitch mock construction project proposals to a panel of senior management from top construction firms in the Atlanta area: Holder Construction, Turner Construction, McCarthy, Gleeds, J.E. Dunn Construction, Gables Residential, Whiting-Turner Construction, Miller Electric, and a representative from the University System of Georgia Board of Regents.

Two parallel tracks will take place in rooms 111 and 207 in the Instructional Center. Presentations are open to the public.

Teams will have developed a company structure and identity with an accepted legal structures; performed a detailed estimate of the project assigned and prepared relevant forms for bidding work based on the estimate; developed a site-specific safety plan appropriate to the scope of work their company would undertake; and created a set of comprehensive contract documents.
