About the Course
This hands-on course will provide the student with a strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol, TCP/IP network operation and common TCP/IP network applications. The content will include detailed information about the operation of the TCP/IP protocol suite and its largest implementation, the Internet. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand how TCP/IP networks such as the Internet operate and make intelligent decisions relating to systems using TCP/IP services. Additionally, this course will provide a working knowledge of the TCP/IP network protocols, their current operation, the technology needed to run it and the future directions it may take.

Who Should Attend
Network programmers, network managers, system managers, and anyone who would like to know more detail about the popular TCP/IP network operation and technology.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course each student will:

* Be able to explain how network applications use the Internet to transfer files or log-in to remote systems
* Describe TCP/IP protocol operation with virtual network circuit connections
* Evaluate applications needed to use virtual circuit or datagram TCP/IP services
* Use simple network tools to view or test connectivity
* Disable and enable TCP/IP applications and set up security files
