Summary Sentence: Executive Education 2-Day Workshop

Full Summary: Have you been thinking about starting a Six Sigma program or do you already use Six Sigma and just want a better understanding of your role in the program? Georgia Tech is hosting a 2-day workshop entitled Six Sigma Champion: Roles and Responsibilitie

Course Description

One of the most common six sigma myths is that it is just a training program. Most companies that take that approach fail to reach their desired goals and in many cases the six sigma effort fails.

This two-day workshop is designed to help you better understand the best practices for setting up a six sigma program and the methods for identifying successful six sigma projects. Workshop participants are typically managers and executives thinking about starting a six sigma program or are executives in companies that already use six sigma and just want a better understanding of their role.

Key content areas include:

1. An overview of six sigma concepts and benefits;
2. Building a sustainable six sigma infrastructure;
3. Identifying key roles;
4. Defining a six sigma project;
5. Proven methods for selecting and prioritizing six sigma projects;
6. An overview of lean, DFSS, and DMAIC methodologies.
