The Center for European and Transatlantic Studies of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs in coordination with The Consulate General of France in Atlanta present a public lecture on "French-American Relations and the Challenges of Global Leadership" given by Luis Vassy, Press Counselor of the Embassy of France in Washington, D.C.
Luis Vassy began his diplomatic career at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs as the officer responsible for relations between France and India within the Asia and Oceania Directorate. He was then appointed to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Division.
In July 2008, he was appointed Deputy Spokesman of the Embassy of France in Washington, DC before joining the Chancery in the same Embassy in order to monitor issues relating to Asia and Latin America. He was appointed Spokesman of the Embassy in December 2010.
Luis Vassy is a graduate of the Ecole normale supérieure in Cachan, the Institut d’études politiques in Paris and the Ecole nationale d’administration.
