The Institute for Computing Education (ICE) is offering a series of weekend computing workshops for 4th - 6th graders. Each workshop will be $25 per person. Each will have a maximum of 24 students. The workshop will take place in the College of Computing, room 345. The workshops run from 9:00am - 12:00pm or 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Students will learn the fundamental principles of programing simple games for mobile devices or “Flash” web based platform using App Inventor or StencylWorks. App Inventor is a tile based programming environment similar to Scratch that allows students to create “apps” for Android based devices.
