There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Institute for Computing Education (ICE) is offering a series of weekend computing workshops for 4th - 6th graders. Each workshop will be $25 per person. Each will have a maximum of 24 students. The workshop will take place in the College of Computing, room 345. The workshops run from 9:00am - 12:00pm or 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Students will learn the fundamental principles of programing simple games for mobile devices or “Flash” web based platform using App Inventor or StencylWorks. App Inventor is a tile based programming environment similar to Scratch that allows students to create “apps” for Android based devices.
