There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Nancy Nersessian, a Professor with a joint appointment in the School of Public Policy and the College of Computing, spoke this week at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, about philosophy's role in science education and maintaining scientific integrity. Nersessian, whose research investigates how bioengineering scientists think and work, talked about model-based versus hypothesis-driven models in scientific investigation.
