Oliver Brand was named associate director for Faculty Services in the Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology (IEN), effective January 1. He has been a faculty member in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Georgia Tech since 2003.
Dr. Brand's responsibilities in this position will include supervision of the IEN administrative teams, together with the assistant director of Business Operations; supervising and prioritizing the activities of the IEN grant preparation group that assists faculty and centers with grants; overseeing the education and training activities and mission of IEN; and supervising and prioritizing the infrastructure associated with website and IT support and communication of IEN and IEN center activities.
