There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Ali Adibi has been elected as an OSA Fellow, effective January 1.
Dr. Adibi is being recognized "for numerous contributions to the field of integrated nanophotonics, lab-on-chip sensing, and volume holography." A faculty member in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech since 2000, he also serves as the director of the Center for Bio and Environmental Sensing Technologies.
OSA was founded more than 90 years ago as the Optical Society of America and has evolved into a global enterprise serving a worldwide constituency. In recognition of its global reach and focus, since 2008, the Society has been known as OSA - the Optical Society. Its membership totals more than 16,000 individuals from over 100 countries.
