There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. "We investigate cognitive practices in interdisciplinary engineering science labs, what is required to learn these, and what factors in the "learning ecology" of the labs support and sustain creative research," says Nancy Nersessian, professor in the School of Public Policy and School of Interactive Computing. Nersessian is referring to the "translational model of learning research" that she and Wendy Newstetter, a professor in Georgia Tech's Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering, have designed together.
