The Design and Technologies for Healthy Aging welcomes W. Bradley (Brad) Fain, Ph.D, a Principal Research Scientist, Head of the Human Systems Engineering Branch and Associate Chief of Human Systems Integration Division in the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI).
Dr. Fain will describe research that his group is conducting related to human factors and older adults with a main focus on the GT HomeLab (previously Home Health Technology Testbed) project that he is leading. This HomeLab is made up of a growing number of individuals (target of 550 sustained) age 50 and older, who have agreed to participate in studies to evaluate the usability, usefulness, adoption, and effectiveness of research and industry products designed
for the home.

The meeting will be held on Thursday February 16th 9:30-11:30AM at Room 207 in the Health Systems Institute (HSI) Building, located at 828 West Peachtree Street, NW 2nd Floor Atlanta, GA 30332. Metered parking available at the address.

Dr. Fain has over nine years experience in human performance research. He earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering in 1992 and his PhD in Engineering Psychology in 2002 from Georgia Tech. At Georgia Tech, he has led or assisted in a variety of research programs ranging from the design of fixed and rotary wing crew interfaces to applied research in the field of accessible design.
