There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. “What they're saying seems very positive and, if enforced, would be a step in the direction,” said Aaron Levine, assistant professor in the School of Public Policy, regarding efforts by Chinese officials to crack down on unapproved stem cell treatments. Chinese officials have ordered a halt on all new applications for clinical trials of stem cell products until at least July and said that physicians could no longer charge money in the country for experimental stem cell procedures.
