No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Nature Medicine reports in a Biomedical briefing that Chinese officials have put a temporary halt on unapproved stem cell therapies currently being used to treat patients that have not undergone full clinic trials. “What they're saying seems very positive and, if enforced, would be a step in the right direction,” says Aaron Levine, who studies stem cell policy at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. “The question is: will it be enforced?”
