There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Intellectual Property (IP) issue has become even more important especially in today's digital age. Common types of IP include patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights. This seminar introduces students to various types of IP, focusing on the characteristics of each type, differences among them, and what protection applies to each. Examples and Q&A will be used to help students understand the differences and IP protection processes. Useful hand-outs will be included.
